A nova cultivar Embrapa 42 (Triticum aestivum L.) foi desenvolvida pela Embrapa Cerrados, Planaltina-DF e Embrapa Trigo, Passo Fundo-RS. Originou-se do cruzamento entre as linhagens LAP 689 (Arthur Type*2/7 Cerros//Ter/Bulgaria 88/3/Ciano/Inia) e MS 7936 (Kavkaz/Tanori//Tito sib). Sendo recomendada para plantio no sistema de cultivo irrigado por aspersao, na estacao seca, no estado de Goias e no Distrito Federal, desde 1994. Essa cultivar destaca-se por apresentar alto potencial de rendimento de graos, altura media, ciclo precoce e resistencia ao acamamento. Quanto a qualidade industrial e um trigo de gluten forte e estabilidade alta, que conferem a ela uma classificacao de trigo melhorador. The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of different drip irrigation regimes and planting densities on the incidence of the leaf miner, Leucoptera coffeella, in arabica coffee plants for one year. The experiment was carried out in 2008, in a complete randomized block design, in a split-plot in time arrangement, with four replicates. The treatments consisted of four drip irrigation regimes - soil water balance, irrigations at 20 and 60 kPa soil tensions, and a nonirrigated treatment -, which were distributed at three plant densities: 2, 500, 5, 000, and 10, 000 plants per hectare. ABSTRACT Brazilian watermelon productivity is not efficient when compared to the largest producer countries, due to abiotic and biotic factors. Some of the difficulties are because of a small number of studies on this crop in Brazil. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of plant density and fruit thinning on two commercial watermelon hybrids (Talisman and Youlie), using trials which were carried out in two different seasons (April - July and August - November). Verificou-se o efeito de diferentes espaçamentos com suas respectivas densidades em viveiro de seringueira, na produção de mudas do tipo convencional (raiz nua). Dos resultados obtidos, conclui-se que as melhores opções de espaçamento para viveiro de seringueira, levando-se em consideração uma maior produção de porta-enxertos por unidade de área, foram: 6(0,60m x 0,15m) x 1,20m e 2(0,50m x 0,15m) x 1,0m, com 62715 e 56960 porta-enxertos/ha em condições para receber os dois tipos de enxertia: verde e convencional. |

ABSTRACT The aim with this study was to evaluate the effects of single- and twin-row spatial arrangements associated with different doses of fertilization on soybean yield and its components. The experiment was carried out at Federal University of Goiás, Campus of Jataí, in a split-plot randomized block design with 10 treatments and four replicates. Each plot corresponded to a dose of P and K fertilization (0, 50, 100, 200 and 400% of the recommended dose) and the subplots to two types of spatial arrangements: single and twin rows.
